Thicket Design
Thicket Design is a resource for art bridging interior design, scientific illustration, and fine art, all with an eye toward nature. I provide artistic products and services and like murals, illustration, wallpaper, prints and original paintings for commercial and residential clients. I enjoy working with clients to see their vision or brand story through the lens of nature-based art. All design work is done by me in collaboration with clients and designers. Free art consultation services for wallpaper, wall art prints, and original paintings is provided for clients seeking a whole space approach to their project. I studied painting at VCU and at the San Francisco Art Institute where I received my Masters in Fine Arts. I have been working under the name Thicket Design doing work for clients and selling art for interior design since 2017. Thank you for being here.

Artist Statement
My work combines naturalist illustration with interior design. I combine these two utilitarian forms of art to make objects that remind us of our connection to nature. The mission of the work is to foster contemplation, conservation, and connection to nature. I use objects of interior design (wallpaper, fabric) because they are accessible, utilitarian, and desirable. This helps the message to reach more people. I recognize my debt to naturalists of the past, like John James Audubon, but place myself in the present moment by focusing not on cataloging resources to exploit but as a communicator of the beauty in nature we seek to preserve.
